About The Mighty Creatives (TMC)
The Mighty Creatives (TMC) is the young people's creative development agency for the East Midlands. Our programmes and partnerships prepare children and young people for a lifetime of leadership, innovation and enterprise by giving them the creative skills to drive positive change in their lives and communities.
Our work is driven by the opinions and needs of children and young people. We aim to showcase best practice in using the voices and creativity of young people to develop our organisation. We also aim to influence outside organisations to proactively involve young people in their planning, day-to-day operations and evaluation.
We will run our organisation with children and young people, and we have already involved them in the creation and start up of TMC. For example, children and young people have chosen our name, helped us decide why we are here, and taken part in interviewing all of our staff.
Through our work with young people and their families, schools, creative practitioners, cultural organisations, local authorities and other partners we will place young people at the heart of our flourishing region.
