Evaluation of Local Learning Investments Programme
The Mighty Creatives is the Bridge organisation for the East Midlands (EMBridge), working collaboratively to achieve our goals. Because we are committed to helping more children access more great art and culture more of the time so that they are able to develop their own cultural lives and capabilities and shape art and culture in their communities, we are asking what needs to be different to:
1. increase engagement in arts and culture;
2. overcome duplication and under-utilisation in the current cultural offer;
3. secure sustainable growth of high quality arts and cultural provisions with, by and for children and young people, their families, schools and communities.
The programme to be evaluated is the Local Learning Investments Programme. One of our EMBridge priorities is to galvanise partnerships between arts and cultural organisations and schools to improve children and young people's engagement in arts and culture. Our ambition is for cultural education to become more sustainable and change more tangible. The Local Learning Investments Programme is a strategic initiative that aims to deliver high quality cultural education strategies and innovative curriculum activities in and outside of school – drawing on local places as a resource for learning, e.g. histories, people, buildings, arts and cultural organisations and communities. Our key objective is to increase investment in arts and culture for children and young people by securing new funds, pooling resources and aligning programmes.

Arts Award Grants 2014-15
As the East Midlands Bridge organisation we have been working with Trinity College London to develop Arts Award within our region. Arts Award offers young people an inspiring arts and culture journey. Each path can take a different direction – from fashion to film-making, from dance to design, from photography to poetry. Whichever route they choose to follow, young people are always in the driving seat.
Arts Award's unique qualifications support young people to develop as artists and arts leaders. The programme develops their creativity, leadership and communication skills.
This year we have developed an Arts Award Grants Programme to extend the reach of Arts Award and to further develop where and how Arts Award is being delivered to young people in the region.
You can apply for up to £5,000 to help you to develop or start your Arts Award offer.
