Have your say in Newark & Sherwood

Survey to gain feedback on new facility plans in Newark.

Posted: September 5th, 2018

The Mighty Creatives (TMC) have partnered with Nottinghamshire YMCA to engage with residents from the Newark and Sherwood area to consult with them about a fantastic new facility being built in the district. The Community and Activity Village is currently under construction and will be open to local residents and is a place where they can learn, play and participate in a whole range of activities, whatever their age and interests.

As a new facility, the team at Nottinghamshire YMCA are currently planning for new workshops and classes which might appeal, including a range of Arts and Creative activities for the whole family. They are keen to make sure that local people have their say so that the programme reflects their interests, and now is a great chance to provide your input, and possibly win a prize whilst you’re doing it.

There is an online survey you can take - which should take you around 5-10 minutes to complete - where you can let us know about the art and creative activities you want to see at the Community and Activity Village.Your responses will help shape the programme offer in the future and provide great insight into what you want to see happen. There is also a prize draw you can be a part of by simply completing the survey and submitting your responses.

This survey is for residents of Newark & Sherwood only; those with postcodes outside of this area will not be included in the prize draw. We are particularly interested in hearing from people in the following locations:

  • Newark (Castle, Devon, Bridge, Beacon Hill, Balderton wards).
  • Ollerton.
  • Clipstone.
  • Rainworth.
  • Blidworth.
  • Bilsthorpe.
  • Edwinstowe.

By participating in this consultation you are helping to shape the opportunities for families across this area and to have your voice heard. The arts and creative activities you suggest can really make a difference and the Community and Activity Village’s workshops will be shaped by your input.

Follow us on Twitter and Facebook to keep up to date with our ongoing consultation and to hear about other ways you can get involved.
