Opportunity: Seeking TMC Consultant to support Artsmark development in SEND schools across the East Midlands
1. The Brief:
The Mighty Creatives are looking to appoint a TMC Consultant to support SEND schools from across the region to develop their arts and cultural provision using Artsmark. This work will align closely with the Splash! project and support the work of the Splash! partners and consortium.
Artsmark school engagement and support:
a) You will work with non Artsmark SEND schools supporting them to think about their current arts provision and how Artsmark might be able to support school development.
b) You will support current Artsmark schools engaging in the Splash! project to capture the evidence of the impact of their engagement for their Artsmark case study.
c) You will liaise with the Splash! Ensemble artists and partners to support and develop their understanding of Artsmark and how they can support Artsmark schools.
d) Based on your work supporting schools using the Artsmark framework you will provide recommendations on what extra guidance material/resources would be useful for SEND schools to make the Artsmark criteria, templates and process clearer.
School network design and development:
You will support the development and delivery of up to 3 x SEND creative school network meetings (1 x autumn term 2018, 1 x spring term 2019 and 1 x summer term 2019) – these networks will be open to any SEND schools in the East Midlands and provide CPD opportunities to teachers, support peer learning, and provide specific Artsmark information and support. These networks should also link with the Splash! project – advertising Splash! opportunities and sharing outcomes and best practice.
The initial contract period for this service specification is Sept 2018 - March 2019 (with opportunity for extension until September 2019). Applications are invited from individuals within the arts, culture and education sectors with strong experience and understanding of cultural learning and how it can support school improvement.
Contract fee available: up to £5625
The fee offered for contracted services is based on a unit cost of £250 per day.
This is broken down as a guide as follows: -
The fees include all costs and travel expenses. However, there will be additional travel budget available to support return trips to a school/setting in excess of 60 miles, which can be claimed through prior agreement with TMC.
Providers will be engaged on a freelance basis and will be responsible for their own Tax and National Insurance. Providers are expected to work from their own premises and to use their own equipment (phone, computer, stationery etc). You will be required to travel across the East Midlands.
Providers will be paid in quarterly instalments and will be required to complete milestone reports detailing their progress at key stages.
