There's been so much cause for celebration this week for Artsmark Celebration week. Today we are acknowledging that Artsmark is a continuous journey and so much more than the award itself.

Here are two of our Artsmark schools, sharing their experiences on their continuous journey with Artsmark.

We interviewed Measham CE Primary School, Leicestershire, who were recently awarded Gold Artsmark in September this year.

They say:

"Next year we are continuing our Artsmark journey and work towards our Platinum status by hoping to become a school to offer other schools on their Artsmark journey advice and help them along their way. We are also hoping to start delivering our Arts Award Explore to our children, encouraging them to further their interest within the Arts."

Ravensdale Infant and Nursery School, Derby is a large infant school based in Derby city and were awarded Silver Artsmark Award in February 2018. They wanted to take the arts out of its designated time slot and into the culture of the school, supporting both the children and staff, and in turn the local community, to ignite a love of learning. They suspected they were surrounded by untapped talent but didn’t explore it until they began their Artsmark journey.
