Supporting Arts Council England’s Cultural Education Challenge, The Cultural Life Fund is a four-year £862k investment programme designed to address the long-standing inequality in children and young peoples’ access to a high-quality cultural education in the East Midlands.

The Cultural Life Fund is a fixed term investment, not a grant or revenue source. It runs between 2018-2022 and is designed to support Cultural Education Partnerships (CEPs) to establish, grow and become sustainable.

The fund will invest a minimum of £25,000 in partnerships that are working in Arts Council England priority places across the East Midlands.

Today, The Mighty Creatives is a partner at the DCEP Culture Cares Conference 2018 and it seemed like a great opportunity to share the news about the latest regional investments.

Round 1:

  • Derbyshire Virtual School (led by Derbyshire County Council).
  • Black Shale (led by Platform Thirty1) covering Amber Valley and Bolsover.
  • Derby Cultural Campus (led by Derby Theatre) covering Derby City.
